Hi, I'm Lihi, or as everyone calls me - Lika :)
Founder and owner of the Lika Swimwear brand.

I started the brand back in 2020, right after I was discharged from the army.
My connection to the sea has always been there, whether it's enjoying time with friends at the beach, surfing, or sailing with family - which always involved dealing with swimwear.
But I never dreamed of opening a swimwear brand.

In late 2019, while still in military service, I envisioned a swimsuit and couldn't stop searching for such a design. After I couldn't find the design, a thought crossed my mind: "Maybe I can create this design?" And so I started looking for courses in swimwear design and sewing.
Although it sounded like a cool idea, it wasn't feasible - I was in the army and didn't see how I could combine such a thing at the same time. Luckily, my commander was very supportive and went along with my idea of going to a course for a few hours once a week and coming back. And so it was.

I finished the course right at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, which gave me a lot of free time at home. So I took my grandparents' old sewing machine and continued sewing to pass the time.
Over time, I started receiving messages from girls who saw pictures on my Instagram asking how much I was selling swimsuits for. I immediately replied that the swimsuits were not for sale and I was doing it purely for pleasure.
After a while, I said to myself, "Why not?" and started taking orders for custom and requested sewing.

Over time, I learned and thoroughly researched the world of swimwear. I learned about the difficulties girls and women face, what we lack as women, and what will make us feel most comfortable with ourselves when it comes to a small clothing item.
Self-confidence, self-love, and comfort are the cornerstones upon which I built and developed the Lika brand.
