Our Shir was the kindest person. Simply put. The best friend, sister, and daughter, and in her final moments, she proved to be the best commander too. Captain Shir Eilat z"l, commander of the observation unit, fell heroically at the Nahal Oz outpost while looking out for her beloved soldiers. Shir had the funniest humor, was the wittiest, and had the biggest heart. Her care and love always guided her. Those around her were privileged to learn from her selflessness, ambition, maturity, and love. Shir loved the sea and nature; every weekend she was home, she visited Palmachim beach. The design we chose for the swimsuit is reminiscent of our Shir, her style, and the swimsuits she loved. Shir was strong, she never gave up on her dreams, even if they seemed unrealistic to others. Shir was one of a kind.
